Die Filme
Das HOFKINO macht sich wieder einmal auf den Weg durch Groß-Enzersdorf. Bereits zwei Mal waren wir in den vergangenen Jahren mit dem Lastenrad-Kino am Stadtrand unterwegs, um private Höfe und Gärten zu bespielen. Die Gäste folgten zu Fuss oder mit dem Rad.
Vier Kurz-Filme stehen diesmal am Programm, die u.a. aus 300 eingereichten Filmprojekten der SUBURBINALE 2018 ausgewählt wurden und die Lust auf das diesjährige Stadtrandfilmfestival (12.-15. September) machen wollen. Film ab!
REFUGEE POETRY, R: Dave Lojek, AT 2016, 4Min
The Kurdish Iraqi poet and actor Zeravan Khalil travels with his dog through an Alpine gorge after fleeing from IS war and genocide. As he remembers the abomination, he writes a poem with the title “You drive me mad” in Kurmanji Kurdish. In his home country, Yazidic Kurds are forbidden to work in his profession. Then he eats his apple and wanders through Europe’s middle with more hope.
SAMOSA, R: ALBIN WILDNER, AT 2017, 12MIN
Between family duties, Stella works early in the morning at a bar, to finance her studies. Long after the bar is closed, an unwanted stranger appears, which stella has to hide from her boss. SAMOSA is a movie about the conflict between traditional roles and an individual way, about power structures and the ability to stand your ground.
DEER DAMAGE, R: Marcus Siebler, D 2018, 12Min
While she’s on her way home from a drama rehearsal, a deer runs into Stephanie Zella-Mehli’s car. While waiting for the hunter to arrive, her life changes.
PASSING SOULS, R: Davide Canali, IT 2017, 6Min
